As the Golf Course Starter, you help play a key role in ensuring a smooth, enjoyable experience for all players starting their round of golf! Starters who volunteer 8 or more hours a week get their greens fees covered and can play for free!

Golf Course Starter Responsibilities

Welcome & Guest Experience

Tee Time & Pace of Play 

Oversee the flow at the first tee boxEnsure groups are teeing off according to their tee times Pair individual or incomplete groups when appropriate to maintain a good pace of play

Join us in picking up litter along the Big Walnut Creek and a section of Rocky Fork Creek. Volunteers will collect litter and debris from the creek and its banks. Some areas of the creek have limited or no walkable banks, so participants should be prepared to wade into deeper water with appropriate safety gear. Participants should wear water/old shoes. 

Ages 12+

Organization: City of Gahanna
