Group Volunteer Request Form and Information

Schools, service clubs, businesses, faith-based organizations, nonprofits, or other government agencies are examples of volunteer groups that play a role in the Gahanna community. 

Thank for your interest in hosting a group volunteer activity. Please complete the form or email tyler.wilson@gahanna.gov for any questions. All requests must be made at least 6 weeks in advance of proposed volunteer activity. When completing the form, please provide details such as specific date and times along with the type of activity you are hoping to accomplish.

• Group volunteers are not permitted to work one-on-one with children or other vulnerable populations, nor are they permitted to handle money. Group volunteers are not authorized to operate motorized equipment, power tools, computers, or have access to Gahanna Parks & Rec buildings.
• Depending on the size of the group, volunteer opportunities may be limited to activities that do not require extensive training, background checks, or use of power tools or select equipment. 
• Groups with youth volunteers must provide adult chaperones to supervise the group and engage in the volunteer service. An adult to minor ratio of 1:5 must be maintained throughout the experience.

• If a group is no longer able to participate, they must communicate the cancellation as soon as possible; 48 hours in advance is required.
  • If a group cancels less than 48 hours in advance, we reserve the right to deny future volunteer opportunities with the group.
