Adopt-a-Park
Join the Adopt-a-Park Volunteer Program! This program is created for dedicated volunteers to help care for and maintain the beauty of our community parks. By registering to volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on your community by commuting to a minimum of six dates or 18 hours hours of volunteer work per year.
As an Adopt-a-Park Volunteer, you will assist in a variety of essential tasks that may include:
- Cleaning up invasive species to protect native plants and wildlife.
- Pick up litter to ensure the park remains clean and inviting.
- Engage in additional park projects as needed, such as trail maintenance.
By "adopting" a park, you will help keep local green spaces healthy, beautiful, and accessible for everyone to enjoy.
To participate in the Adopt-a-Park program, you must complete the following steps:
- Submit the Adopt-a-Park Program Request Form found on this page. Be sure to select a park that you are passionate about
- Please note that parks have been limited based on need/ongoing projects.

- Complete a background-check (required for volunteers 18+, will come through via email from gahanna@screening.services).
- Attend the Adopt-a-Park Welcome Orientation and Training.
- Review and sign the Volunteer Handbook Acknowledgment form and waiver.
- Commit to volunteering a minimum of six dates or 18 hours of volunteer work per year.
