We invite you to join us for "Neighbors for Nature" as we plant 100 trees along Sycamore Run Creek. This is a new, collaborative event between the Department of Engineering, Department of Parks & Recreation, the Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District, and the Sycamore Woods Condominium Association.
"Neighbors for Nature" will take place on Thursday, April 16, from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m., behind the Sycamore Woods Condominiums at North Hamilton Rd. and Sycamore Woods Lane.
By working together, we can expand Gahanna's tree canopy and help mitigate erosion along the creek - creating a healthier, more resilient environment for our community.
Volunteers are encouraged to wear closed toed shoes and clothes that can get dirty or wet. This opportunity will take place along Sycamore Run Creek, parts of that area may be muddy due to weather and ground conditions. Volunteers will receive onsite training and will be provided the tools needed to plant the 100 trees!
We hope you'll join us as we grow a greener Gahanna!
Volunteer parking is available near 325 Sycamore Woods Lane, Gahanna, OH 43230.
Volunteers will utilize the parking address above to locate the entrance to the community. Parking will be available in designated guest parking spots throughout the community, and volunteers can walk to the Community Club House located at 600 E. Johnstown Road. There will be staff available to direct volunteers to the event.
